Imagine this – you switch on your radio, and there are no adverts. You listen to music you have never heard before, presented by people who love their music as much as you do. That’s what Harrogate Community Radio is all about! Harrogate is a very musical town and we are bringing the community together through music. Could you make a difference to our listeners? Harrogate Hospital Radio provide entertainment on 95.3FM, Online, On our free APP and on your smart speaker to patients, staff and visitors of Harrogate District Hospital. Having formed in 1977, we are now 45 years old!

In September 2022 Harrogate Hospital Radio were granted a 5 year licence to broadcast on 95.3FM by Ofcom, we are thrilled with this achievement.

We currently have over 50 members in a number of roles. We are all volunteers who all share the same passion – to provide a high quality entertainment service to patients, staff and visitors to Harrogate District Hospital and the surrounding area.

We have a wide variety of programming ranging from 60s to today, catering to all ages and personalities.

Our Flagship show, The Evening Request Show airs from 8pm-10pm Monday-Friday. Requests, dedications are mainly collected by our fabulous team of request collectors who visit the wards weekday afternoons from 2pm.

Harrogate Hospital Radio provide (on loan) FM/Wi-Fi Radios to patients and staff on wards and departments within HDH.

We are a Registered Charity (No. 507137), wholly voluntary led and rely on fundraising and donations to provide our service.
