Blossom’s co-founder, Fiona Leggott, is a qualified nurse who previously worked as a community staff nurse. In this role she constantly witnessed the devastation that failing, low-cost care was causing clients and their families. At the same time, Fiona and her co-founder husband John, encountered personal experience of trying to find care for a relative who was fiercely independent and wanted to stay at home. This highlighted the lack of available high-quality services that could deliver care to clients in a rural area – in turn identifying the need for a new business.

They wanted a company that treated staff and clients with the respect and dignity they deserved, whilst delivering the very best standards in high-quality home care. But as they explored franchise opportunities, it soon became evident that the ones available did not fit their vision of a well-run, professional care provider.

It was then the decision to sew the seeds of Blossom was made.
