The Harrogate Food & Drink Festival will celebrate its sixth consecutive year on August 23rd-25th, 2025. Situated in the heart of Ripley beside the idyllic Ripley Castle, organisers prepare for another memorable year.

The festival ensures the continued growth of its cornerstone favourites, alongside the introduction of brand-new activities to create a unique and fresh experience for festival-goers. Attendees can anticipate a bank holiday packed with emphatic live music, intricate chef demonstrations, a plethora of family entertainment, and delicious food spanning every corner of the globe.

Festival Director Michael Johnston shared his enthusiasm for the event, stating: “We’re going to make sure there’s plenty for both new faces and returning festival-goers. We’ve received an incredible amount of support over the last six years, and that pushes us to keep improving every element of the event. With everything new we have in store, it’s going to be an exciting year.”

A complete guide to the event is yet to be disclosed, however, organisers have hinted at the introduction of brand-new activities for friends and family to enjoy, such as the debut of the “Foodie Olympics”.
The festival is also set to feature its largest food & drink line-up yet, with over 100 different small businesses, local artisans, and independent traders showcasing in 2024. Festival-goers can also enjoy a wide selection of independent bars serving speciality cocktails, wine, and spirits, alongside a dedicated ale house.
“Each year, we receive applications from some of the country’s best entrepreneurs, independent businesses, and local artisans. Having the opportunity to highlight as much diversity as possible is a massive privilege, and we take pride in spotlighting the very best in local produce” – Festival Manager, Nikki Orrell.
Yet to be revealed is the Live Music Stage line-up, set to be headlined by two tribute acts across Saturday & Sunday. Also returning will be a star-studded line-up of Yorkshire’s celebrity chefs and culinary experts in the Live Cookery Theatre. In 2024, the event welcomed AA Rosette honourees and Head Chefs of Michelin-Starred establishments, including MasterChef UK finalist Bobby Geetha.

Alongside these attractions is the Live Entertainers Stage, featuring Performing Arts, Family Magic, and Interactive Circus Shows. Further attractions include a Fun Fair & Inflatable Land, Free Kids Activities, Roaming Comedy, Interactive Performers, and more.
In partnership with Harrogate Mind, the festival continues its commitment to mental health, hoping to build on the £127,000 raised for initiatives across the north. Early Bird Tickets are now on sale for ‘The Harrogate Food and Drink Festival 2025: A Bank Holiday Feast’, August 23rd-25th.

Set amidst the scenic backdrop of central Harrogate, festival-goers are invited to a weekend-long celebration featuring exciting live music, eccentric production, immersive chef demonstrations, and foods spanning the globe.

Building on the event’s continued growth over the last four years, organisers have ensured what is to be their biggest food and drink line-up yet in addition to brand-new entertainment options and activities. In 2024, the event showcased over 120 different independent businesses and local traders, alongside a broad selection of the region’s most talented musicians, performers, and chefs.

The festival’s renowned Street Food Arena is set to return, featuring an expanded roster of global food traders, while the event’s dynamic Artisan Markets will showcase an abundance of gifted artisans. Two streets of unique bars offering specialty spirits, ciders, wine, and cocktails, are available to attendees alongside the festival’s full ale house.

“A core aspect of the event is that we get to showcase a diverse selection of independent traders and small businesses. We’re very proud to work with some of the most talented artisans in the region, and we can’t wait to give you our most vibrant selection yet” – Nikki Orrell, Festival Manager

The festival will also present a new line-up for the Live Music Stage, including two unannounced tributes to headline each evening. Meanwhile, a selection of Yorkshire’s esteemed culinary experts are set to perform captivating demonstrations inside the Live Cookery Theatre.

Festival-goers can additionally enjoy Magic, Circus, and Performing Arts shows on the Live Entertainers Stage. Further attractions set to feature are Art Displays, a Fun Fair & Inflatable Land, Roaming Comedy, Free Kids Activities, and more.

Having collectively raised over £127,000 for local mental health initiatives, the event will once again partner with Harrogate Mind in hope of surpassing this total.
