Main Ring Attraction for the Great Yorkshire Show 2024! This year’s Great Yorkshire Show, held on Tuesday 9 – Friday 12 July 2024, features the Paul Hannam Quad Bike Stunt Show as our Main Ring attraction. The performance will wow crowds every day as the stuntman from North Devon who raced at British Championship level, will be performing jumps, trick riding and doing multiple rolls.
We are also looking forward to welcoming the World Ayrshire Federation Annual Conference which will see around 100 farmers from countries including Kenya, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and America attend the show as part of a UK Tour. The Great Yorkshire Show will be the only agricultural show they will attend as part of an 18-day tour to see how UK farmers breed Ayrshire cattle and to share best practise.
Our daily timetables will be available to view on our What’s On page from May 2024.
Tickets are only available to purchase in advance and will NOT be available to purchase on the gate.
First Female Show Director Appointed to Lead Great Yorkshire Show
Dairy farmer Rachel Coates will make history as the first female to take over the role of Show Director of the Great Yorkshire Show.
Rachel, from Shipley, West Yorkshire, will take over from Charles Mills who has been Show Director since 2016. The handover will take place immediately after this year’s Show.
Rachel is a member of the Yorkshire Agricultural Society Council and farms a mixture of tenanted and owned land on the edge of Baildon Moor and the urban fringe.
She has been part of the GYS cattle committee for a number of years and Rachel’s family have shown dairy cattle at The Great Yorkshire Show for around 15 years, winning Holstein Champion for two years running in 2022 and 2023.
The Great Yorkshire Show is organised by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society, helping to develop an environment where farming, food and the countryside thrives and grows.
