The partnership between the artist and the Yorkshire Shepherdess was forged nearly four years ago when Harrogate-based Anita Bowerman contacted Amanda Owen with an idea for a charity collaboration.
Anita wanted an iconic Yorkshire figure to feature on her charity Christmas card design in aid of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. Amanda, who has since become an ambassador for YAA, didn’t hesitate and, together with her husband and nine children, feature annually on Anita’s best-selling cards.
The pair have since gone on to speak together at RHS Garden Harlow Carr Flower Show, as they both champion a love of nature and work together at a variety of charity events around the county.
Anita and Amanda have worked together to release an English fine bone china mug featuring The Hay Meadows at Amanda’s Ravenseat Farm and a Limited Edition Print, illustrated by Anita. Such was its popularity, a second mug and print- Spring at the Farm is due for release this Autumn. Anita and Amanda visited the Duchess China factory in Stoke-on-Trent to see their mug in production and support this British company.
