The beautiful market town of Knaresborough, in the borough of Harrogate, North Yorkshire, is the new location for Chris Holmes Antiques (previously located on Cold Bath Road in Harrogate).

Knaresborough is renowned as an idyllic beauty spot. Sights including: the remains of Knaresborough Castle; Mother Shipton’s Cave; St Roberts’ Cave (dating back to the Middle Ages) and the railway viaduct over the River Nidd famous for its boating and surrounding nature walks.

We’re located on Finkle Street – 2 minutes on foot from the Market Square and 2 minutes from Knaresborough railway station.

The location of Knaresborough is easily accessible from the A1 Motorway making it a perfect pit stop on your journey South or North..

Free parking and access is available directly in front of the shop. Ask us in-store for a parking disc. There is a huge amount of public parking all around Knaresborough within an easy 5 minute walk.

Kirkgate House was founded and created out of a love for interiors, style and beautiful homes. Having completed several house renovations and being brought up by parents who in turn have a love for homes and gardens, I finally got to live my dream of sharing my passion for the home and people.

We only buy what we love, and always want to be authentic, mainly focussing on one off unique pieces from a mix of styles forming an eclectic look… hence our full name ‘Kirkgate House Eclectic Living’.

I have a partner, who owns a beautiful shop… Rhodes-Wood of Harrogate and it seems I have the perfect mentor for starting my own shop and online business.
