Since 2002 I am fully qualified and insured member of the British Acupuncture Council, the UK’s main regulating body for acupuncture.
Acupuncture originated in China where it still features in mainstream healthcare, both as a stand-alone therapy and in combination with conventional western medicine. It has been practised in China for over 3000 years. Due to its effectiveness it is now widely used and accepted all over the world. In the UK more and more people are finding out what acupuncture can do for them and recently is starting to become integrated within NHS health care system with the guidelines recommending acupuncture for lower back pain, tension headache and migraines.
It promotes body’s natural healing ability therefore it can help with many conditions. It is also a comprehensive system of preventative health care and maintenance. The effectiveness of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine is well known.
