Teenagers arrested for stealing a car and failing to stop for police in Ripon.

Two 15-year-olds and a 16 year-old have been arrested after a car a Ford Focus was stolen and failed to stop for police in Ripon.  

Three teenagers involved where released under investigation.   

On Saturday Police Officers were alerted to reports of a stolen car from Wellington Gardens in Ripon in the early hours. Later it was sighted being driven at speed in Boroughbridge. It failed to stop for officers which led to a pursuit. The vehicle was stopped by a stinger which was deployed on the B6265 Boroughbridge Road going towards Ripon. The three occupants of the car ran off but were found by an officer and police dog a short time later. Two 15-year-old boys and one 16 year old boy were arrested and have been released under investigation.
